You Won’t Miss Me
A kaleidoscopic film portrait of Shelly Brown, a twenty-three year-old alienated urban misfit recently released from a psychiatric hospital.
You Won’t Miss Me was written by Stella Schnabel who is Julian Schnabel’s, the artist’s, daughter. Had it not been, my guess is, it never would have been made. The story is of a rather unpleasant 23 year old, who doesn’t really fit in any place and has been released from the psychiatric hospital. But you have to care about her a lot more than I did to care about this movie. One star.
