Women In Trouble – Movie Review

SYNOPSIS

A serpentine day in the life of ten seemingly disparate women: a porn star, a flight attendant, a psychiatrist, a masseuse, a bartender, a pair of call girls, etc. All of them with one crucial thing in common. Trouble.

JOY’S REVIEW

Women In Trouble is a Pedro Almovodar wannabe. It’s got some lovely women in it – Carla Gugino, Connie Britton, Adrienne Palicki, Emmanuelle Chriqui, Simon Baker and Josh Brolin. I’m not sure what Josh Brolin is doing in this film. The idea is that we’re looking at eight different women and how they interact during a day including a hooker, a nymphomaniac, two sisters with a secret. I mean in theory it could have been an interesting movie. What it is is crude, rude, badly acted, and not worth the time. Zero stars and what Simon Baker or Josh Brolin are doing in this completely escapes me.
