Tucker and Dale Versus Evil

JOY REVIEW

Tucker and Dale Versus Evil will appeal to you if you’re one of those people who think that things like Scream are really adorable and funny. Gruesome murders and gore combined with humor, not exactly my style, however, this one is supposed to be a satire (maybe all of them are). The two leads are actually pretty appealing. One of them is Alan Tyduk, whom I know from Broadway. This takeoff of scary movies, including two guys who look like hillbillies, are really sweet and the college kids are really mean and stupid and dumb and there’s a twist that you will not care at all about at the end. But, I mean, it’s not horrifying, it just depends on if you have high tolerance for this kind of movie. If you do, you’ll probably enjoy it, if you don’t I’d skip it. So, I guess I give it a two and a half, but mostly on a basis of the two leads who are actually vaguely appealing.
