Trespass

JOY REVIEW

Trespass may very well be the Showgirls of this decade, maybe even this millennium. This is one of those movies that you think it can’t get any worse, and it does over and over and over again; it’s just unbelievably bad. Nicolas Cage plays kind of an arrogant diamond dealer who lives in this fabulous house- It’s worth seeing the movie just for the house. Nicole Kidman plays his somewhat estranged trophy wife, and the kid from Trust plays their rebellious yet adorable daughter, Avery. The idea is that this group of thugs breaks into the house, and we have to figure out how sadistic they are and what they’re after. We’ve seen this before in a bunch of movies, the problem is that this one is very brutal, very nasty, comes to absolutely nothing, and you don’t care about any of the people in it. It’s just unbelievably bad. But for the camp factor and the fact that it is so bad, I’ll give it half a star.
