This Is the End may be one of the worst movies ever made, it’s been my misfortune to sit through, and I’m kind of reluctant to tell you that because you might think “well it can’t be that bad, maybe I’ll go see it…” Don’t! This is Seth Rogen’s first attempt to direct, write, and star; and let me tell you, he aint no Woody Allen. The story, such as it is, is Seth Rogen is playing… Seth Rogen! He meets up with Jay Baruchel at the airport, and they’re going to hang out, which is supposed to be greatly hilarious by scenes of leg wrestling and getting high and video games; are you entranced yet? Then they go to a party that’s hosted by James Franco, where Jonah Hill is there and Craig Robinson, and they decide to go out for Ice or something, and it’s the end of the world and there’s a demon, and it’s just the worst movie ever made. It’s not funny, it’s not well done, it’s too long, it’s too stupid; to say this is a vanity project is to give vanity a bad name. 0 stars, and if I could give negative stars, I would.
