The World’s Greatest Dad
The World’s Greatest Dad – DVD Review
The new movie starring Robin Williams, as a hard working father.
“THE WORLD’S GREATEST DAD” is lamentably one of the world’s worst movies. It stars Robin Williams, who, to be honest, is a friend. I’ve known Robin for years, and admired his work, I think sometimes he’s good in movies, sometimes he’s not. The problem is not Robin in this one, the problem is the movie, is mean-spirited, unpleasant, follows a 15 year old boy, who is crude, rude, unpleasant, just nothing redeemable about him, and the relationship between the son and the father isn’t particularly positive either, and at some point, I’m not giving a whole lot away, so hopefully you’re going to miss this movie like the plague. The son, Robin walks in on the son, trying auto-asphyxiation to increase sexual pleasure, and the kid eventually actuality offs himself. Robin is a frustrated writer who’s never had anything published, and decides to clean up his son’s accidental suicide by making a real suicide, and the plot evolves from there. This is a movie that I would really encourage you to stay away from. It’s just unpleasant, there’s just nothing about it that’s redeemable. 0 stars.
