JOY’S REVIEW

The Robber is a German film that is apparently based on a true story of a guy who was a long-distance runner who robbed banks and then would run away. The guy who plays the robber, whose name is The Improbable — his last name is Lust. It’s Andreas Lust. He is really — we see him running around the yard, literally, in prison, and then he gets out. The problem about this movie is that it just seems like a slice of his life and you want to know how he got this way. But having said that, the chase scenes, watching a man run, are really pretty interesting and pretty exciting. We’re used to seeing car chases, and this is a runner. I’d give it three stars.
