The Killer Within Me
The Killer Within Me – Movie Review
A deceptively charismatic ex-convict is welcomed into a Beverly Hills family as their new houseguest. Will they grant him a second chance at redemption. Or will they realize too late that some people really are born evil?
The Killer Within Me is made by Michael Winterbottom who apparently hates women. This is a story that stars Casey Affleck, Jessica Alba, and Kate Hudson and Simon Best. The idea is that Casey is kind of the do gooder, small town sheriff, who gets involved with a prostitute, and he’s not a nice person. The problem about this movie is it’s not a bad plot, it’s based on a novel. But the violence toward women, gratuitous beating up, with sound effects and blood, and goes on and on, and close ups, it’s just despicable and absolutely unforgivable. This is violence at it’s most pornographic and as such I will give it no stars because it’s just too disgusting to watch. And presumably, first of all no one’s going to see this movie, which is it’s only saving grace. But for young boys to be exposed to this and somehow literally the hero is beating the day lights out of women who’s only sin is to love them. And the women, the only thing more horrible than that is the women sort of eat it up. So this is just a despicable movie. If I could give it minus stars I would.
