The Gatlin Brothers
The Gatlin Brothers – Theater Review
Larry, Rudy and Steve Gatlin have undeniably made their mark on not only the country music world, but the entire music world at large, and now you can experience their live performance– They are now on tour, don’t miss them, travel if you have to!
The Gatlin Brothers was at the Metropolitan Room, which is on 22nd Street, and by the time you read this, it will have come and gone, but they have their first album out in 17 years, so if you love The Gatlin Brothers, this could be a heads-up. I mean I was sitting maybe two feet from the band, because it is a small wonderful room. Singing along with The Gatlin Brothers, All the Gold in California and Broken Lady is fun; some of their songs are fabulous, some of them are, good, and some of them not so much. But the reason that the show was so enjoyable is just, number one, being that close, number two, the charm of especially Larry Gatlin, who just chats you up through the whole show. So, if you get a chance to see The Gatlin Brothers live I would certainly suggest it. This was produced by a friend of mine, whose name is Jamie deRoy , and she does great stuff on small venues, and very personal kinds of stuff. So, four stars for the Gatlins.
