The Exploding Girl
The Exploding Girl – Movie Review
On a summer break from college, Ivy (Kazan), a young epileptic woman, struggles to balance her feelings for her fledgling boyfriend while her friend Al crashes with her for the season.
The Exploding Girl stars Zoe Kazan, who is currently on Broadway in The Behanding in Spokane, and somebody thinks she’s really cute. I’ve never quite seen so many profile shots of somebody in my whole life. This is a story of a young woman who has epilepsy and we don’t really figure this out until the very end, and I suppose it’s well meaning, but it’s awfully slow paced. I think this is more a Hallmark Hall of Fame than a movie that’s going to get much traction in the theaters. One star.
