THE ABDUCTION OF ZACH BUTTERFIELD
A beautiful young woman who is a murderous sexual psychopath returns from combat as a mercenary in Iraq and abducts a 14 yr-old boy, holding him prisoner as a bizarre relationship develops.
The only reason I can justify this movie being made is it was based on a real situation, and I think it’s not. The story is that a very young boy is kidnapped by a woman and held as a sex slave, and I suppose what makes it different is that the abductor is a woman and that the person who’s abducted is a young man. I think these kinds of things are really unpleasant and unfortunate, and presumably giving people ideas. I don’t know why they make movies like this. As I said, I could sort of, I suppose, justify it if it was based on a real story, but I don’t think it is, and the idea that somehow somebody could disappear without a trace is terrifying enough. I’ll give it one star.
