Terminator Salvation – Movie Review
In the fourth installment of the Terminator series, Christian Bale stars as John Connor, the eventual leader of mankind’s fight againts the machines. The setting is 2018, focusing on the war between the humans and the computer network.
Pick of the Week!
Well this is I guess Four in the Terminator series, and in this one, John Connor, who’s the savior of mankind against the machines has to figure out who’s his dad, who’s his daddy. Things are complicated by Marcus Wright, who is a death row inmate. Helena Bonham Carter is somehow involved in this. Skynet is involved. If the plot’s a little hard to follow, well, welcome to the tea party. You don’t go to Terminator Salvation for plot, you go for action sequences, and big noises, and exciting things being blown up, and it certainly delivers on that. Plot, a little confusing. Plot, a lot meaningless. Cute guys, Christian Bale is of course adorable, as is Sam Worthington, and basically, big old awful machines. If you’re feeling like your cell phone is out to get you, this is exactly the summer movie that you need. Three stars.
