Taken – DVD Review
Liam Neeson kicks some butt as a government operative in “Taken”, now out on DVD.
Liam Neeson in “Taken”, and he plays a very smart government operative, and he kind of plays like a borne, or a James Bond type character, or any of those operatives. But he’s so smart, with an Irish brute, his marriage is basically failed, and he is estranged from his seventeen year old daughter, and she wants to go to Paris, but of coarse her overprotective father doesn’t think it’s a great idea, and then gets talked into it. When the daughter is in Paris she disappears, and of coarse the government is not going to be happy. The idea is that she goes to Paris, is kidnapped and then sold into slavery, and he sort of saves her with his cell phone. I don’t think movies had plots before the invention of cell phones, because she is able to call and then he tracks her down. But man, Liam is just so charming in this, I give it three stars for the films plot, and four stars for the man. You put an incredible actor in a role like this, and obviously the whole film is elevated. Four stars.
