- James Cromwell, Genevieve Bujold, and Campbell Scott
“Still Mine” is based on a true story of a man, who decides to build his own house because his wife is suffering from Alzheimer’s and falls down stairs. He has to rebuild, on his own 2000 acres, a house that his father, the shipbuilders, taught him to build. The reason it is made into a movie, other than because it’s a good story, is that it stars James Cromwell and the wonderful Genevieve Bujold, both of whom have aged. It’s a touching story of people who love each other. Campbell Scott plays their lawyer. Everybody in it is gray-haired which makes it into an artsy-movie. It is touching and you do get involved. It has a plot and nothing blows up. All of us hate bureaucracies, especially in the building department. I can tell you from personal experience.
