I loved the original RoboCop, I loved Peter Weller, I thought it was chilling. This one, and my memory might be a little iffy on this one, but this one seems to me, much more heartbreaking than the original. Gary Oldman plays the doctor who is ambivalent about this whole thing and Micheal Keaton is great as the bad guy. This sort of like Transformers on steroids…or maybe its Transformers that are not on steroids…anyway. It is very well directed, it is fun to watch, and I thought it was surprisingly touching story about a guy who basically is given this as his only chance to live, but is it really worth it as far as he’s concerned. Joel Kinnaman plays Alex Murphy/Robocop, Samuel L Jackson plays kind of an over the top “Bill O’Reilly” type guy. I thought this one was fun, its kind of stupid fun, but it IS fun, and the scene where they take away his armor and he sees what is really left of him, is truly heartbreaking, I give it 4 stars.
