This is the Darren Aronofsky take on the famous bible story, you go in with a certain amount of trepidation, the book Genesis is only a couple of pages in the bible, and this is a 2 and a half hour movie, so what are they basing it on? The answer is: a good deal of imagination, but is that necessarily bad? If you are looking for this to be a bible story, then are probably going to be disappointed. If you are looking for it to be an interesting cinematic experience, you may very well have a great time. I didn’t know there were Watchers, “what’s a Watcher” you’re asking, well, I guess it is a kind of an angel, or a meteor or an alien from another from another society that has somehow transformed against the creator’s wishes, and is punished by being kind of stone-like robot type things, and you can’t tell if they are good guys or bad guys. The cast includes Russell Crowe, Jennifer Connelly, and Anthony Hopkins. If your’e looking for something inspirational, this might not be the film for you, if you are looking for a interesting look at a story you thought you knew, it might work. It is one of those movie I think you will feel ambivilant about, like I did. 3 stars
