Madagascar 3: Europe’s Most Wanted

JOY REVIEW

This is my favorite of the Madagascars. Okay, we’ve got the guys who are now trying desperately to get back home, and they do kind of a Mission Impossible breaking into Monte Carlo, because they decided the way to get back home is to break into the casinos of Monte Carlo because there’s going to be a circus there — I don’t know, who cares about the plot. It’s absolutely fun and adorable, and this is my favorite. It’s the smartest, I think, of the three. We’ve got everybody and their mother in this, including Ben Stiller, who plays Alex the lion, who’s turned out to be a movie star (it turns out, that his films, where he acted, directed, wrote or produced have grossed over $5BILLION, yeah, that’s billion). Hmm, don’t mess with him. We’ve got Chris Rock as Marty, the zebra — do I have to tell you all of this? I’m not going to tell you all of this. I’m just going to tell you some more of the voices. Well, alright, I’m going to tell you David Schwimmer is Melman the giraffe, and Jada Pinkett Smith is Gloria the hippopotamus, and Brian Cranston is Vitali the unhappy Russian tiger from the circus.  I had a really great time at this movie. The kids did, too, and even my cooler than cool daughter thought it was fantastic. So, I’ll give it four stars.
