Little Rock is a very slow, quiet story of a Japanese brother and sister who are touring the United States. Actually, they’re on the way to see the internment camp where their parents were interred during World War II. They find a little town accidentally when their car breaks down, which is basically a little town right outside of Los Angeles called Little Rock. And while the brother speaks some English, the sister really, at least in the movie, doesn’t speak at all, but she’s gorgeous and so everybody thinks she’s adorable. She begins to understand what American life is really like as opposed to the big city life. Everybody talks, but nobody understands one another, which I guess is a metaphor for something. This is a movie that you’re going to think “she’s pretty, it’s interesting, but it’s not very entertaining.” One star.
