Kiss the Water is a documentary about Megan Boyd, a world renowned for her skill in tying fishing lures. It was produced by the Scottish arm of the BBC, and it is was we used to call a “stoner film”. They interview all sorts of people about Megan, who apparently is a bit of an eccentric to say the least. It is very relaxing, there are long periods of no dialogue, it is just animation and music, and fish and bait and water. I’m not sure what the point was exactly, except that she was very talented, and her flies are in museums and highly sought after and quite beautiful and she could apparently make a fly that the salmon would go after as bait. It was oddly enjoyable, 3 stars
