Horrible Bosses

JOY REVIEW

Horrible Bosses to be quite honest is the best of the crudes. There have been a lot of crudes. There’s been Bridesmaids, there’s been Hangover 2, there’s been Bad Teacher, and this is just as crude and just as rude and just as many F bombs, but the difference is that this one is actually funny. It’s well written and it has a great cast in it. The story is basically that three people are being absolutely tortured by their bosses and decide that they want to kill them. They decide that they’re going to do something like Strangers on a Train and kill each other’s bosses and it turns out — well I’m not going to give away too much of the story but you can sort of guess they’re not actually going to be able to do it, but somebody can… The guys are played by Jason Bateman who is simply adorable, Charlie Day who gets a little gritty to be quite honest, and Jason Sudeikis. Jennifer Aniston, Kevin Spacey and Colin Farrell play the bosses. Colin Farrell is nearly unrecognizable but as a comic actor, he’s terrific. Who knew he could be so funny! It’s crude and rude but well written, well acted, and you’ll get a kick out of it. I give it three and a half stars.
