Friends with Benefits
Friends With Benefits stars Mila Kunis and Justin Timberlake, those of the adorable cheekbones and gorgeous faces, and I was really prepared to loathe this movie because we’ve seen Natalie Portman play the same role several months ago. But in this one, the dialogue is very snappy. This is kind of almost like a 1940’s romantic comedy with the two of them just whipping lines out at each other as fast as they can go, and the fact that it takes place in New York certainly increases that tendency. It’s very well directed; the supporting cast is terrific, including a couple cameos that I won’t spoil for you at the very beginning. And the terrific Richard Jenkins playing the dad and Jenna Elfman whom we don’t see enough of these days was fantastic. So, the supporting cast is terrific, the kids have enough chemistry to be adorable; I give it three and a half stars.
