Cavemen is a movie you’ve seen 15 times before, its got kind of a nerdy guy who has a crush on his best friend who just happens to be gorgeous, Skylar Astin plays the nerdy guy, I don’t know who he is, I’ve never seen him before…he’s got a receding hairline…he’s vaguely charming, but I don’t know how much of a career he’s going to have. Camilla Belle, who is gorgeous, but is 15 feet taller than everybody else. This is a Hershel Faber film, who is Hershel Faber? I don’t know, but its his film. The main character has the appropriate roommates, he’s got a black guy who talks about love with his Asian girlfriend who lives in new York while he is in LA, kinda of a nerd who a girlfriend that he can’t decide if he is with or without. And the appropriate stud, who is played by Chad Michael Murray, who is the most charismatic, who is always talking about his sexual exploits, and you can basically figure out from that description what is going to happen. Probably the best thing about the movie is that it is short. I thought this was just a mediocre movie with a mediocre cast about the perils of dating..or something. I don’t feel like I learned anything new, I don’t feel that anything was particularly fresh or funny, so I’m only giving it 2.5 stars
