George Zimmer won’t like the way this looks, I guarantee it. After founding the dress apparel retailer Men’s Warehouse in 1973, the company decided to terminate the 65-year-old Zimmer on June 19th, 2013. Over the last 40 years, Zimmer has built Men’s Warehouse into a brand that has “40 percent market share in U.S. tuxedo rentals and around 28 percent market share in men’s tailored clothing.” As the well-established face of this brand, the firing of George Zimmer comes as a shocking development. Perhaps the board at Men’s Warehouse wants to take a new direction, one in which George Zimmer does not agree with. It is difficult to let go of the consistent things that we develop a level of comfortability with in our lives. However, sometimes it is necessary for change. The question for my followers would be: what is the hardest thing you ever had to let go of?
