bye bye mommy

A young boy named Milo gains a deeper appreciation for his mom after Martians come to Earth to take her away.

MARS NEEDS MOMS: the title tells you everything. This is the latest from Disney and its playing in IMAX, and the animation is actually the capture action that was the same thing that Polar Express tried to do badly. And this one certainly does it significantly better. The movie itself is kind of cute, although it’s kind of scary, I mean Disney is great at killing off moms, and this one does it. The movie itself is okay, but it is really scary for young kids, because one mom actually does bite the dust,¬†and the second one nearly does, twice. So it’s really very scary for kids. As I said, Disney is always killing off moms. We could talk about that psychologically. But the reason to see this movie is — that it is actually pretty good, but the thing that really makes it wonderful, is make sure you stay through the credits because it shows how the actors behaved with all the little points of light and how they actually did it, and that part is absolutely stunning and wonderful. So the movie itself gets probably two and a half stars, but the movie with the credits gets three and a half, so make sure you stay for the credits.
