The Summer of Free. As you all know being 25 in NYC is a tough position, because you are no longer a recent grad, but you still can't afford dinner and theater Friday and Saturday night. That is why I turned my attention to Time Out New York Magazine (http://newyork.timeout.com/). My entire summer has been scheduled according to their free section. And the most recent free summer concert was GIRL TALK in Brooklyn, on the water in prospect park. My friend and I felt like senior citizens in the sea of highschoolers/Marymount Manhattan/NYU freshmen, who rocked some serious faux hipster

Dance, Like you’ve never danced before.

Monday, July 6th, 2009 at 5:52 pm . By Dr Joy .

Well, Joy has a pretty busy schedule this weekend, I know she has several plays to attend, but I was hoping we could have gone to this dance show together- we both love dancing, Joy's favorite dance is the tango, and mine is probably tap!! I'm excited to see my friend, Laura Nave's, dance show on Friday. I love modern dance, and wish my body flexed like those dancers! We All Love to Dance!

Thursday, July 2nd, 2009 at 5:53 pm . By Dr Joy .

So, I've been living it up in the city lately. Running to show, parks, concerts, food cart stands, brooklyn, you name it. This is the most dynamic city on earth, and it's only getting better! Water Taxi Beach, I'll let you know how it goes- This is a place that brings in sand, and water, where you lounge, and get some sunlight with

So, I thought I might follow up from my date night last Thursday. After meeting Joy and her mom at the screening of THE END OF THE LINE, I got to share my thoughts with Mrs. Funny Movie Reviewer. Her comments and on air jokes always crack me up. I love when Joy is honest, and real. We both thought the movie was beautifully shot. There all these great underwater shots, which I love, and being a fan of Planet Earth, the stylized camera movements never get old. This documentary proved to be very interesting for someone like me. I have

Thirsty Thursday

Thursday, June 11th, 2009 at 5:55 pm . By Dr Joy .

Okay, So today has been a pretty interesting day over at the studio with Dr. J. I like to call her that! Tonight, I get to see THE END OF THE LINE, it's a new doc about the fish industry, which I'm obsessed with. I love to eat, catch, and watch fish. Everything about them is interesting, and beautiful. I think I started to love fish after a trip to Juneau, Alaska last year. Think Glaciers, Alaskan brewed beer, and camping out! Thank god we didn't see any bears, but I did follow a long line of tracks back after
